Fallbrook Republican Women Federated

 Chartered November 15, 1950

Our goal is to educate women by communicating information, encouraging involvement and outreach in the community.

Our by-laws state we “shall promote a wider knowledge of principles and policies of the Republican Party, and cooperate with the Republican State and County Central Committees in campaign work for the election of Republican candidates for office”.

The cornerstone of Republican philosophy is the belief that each person is responsible for his or her own place in our society.  Individuals are encouraged to join the party to work to secure the benefits of society for themselves, their families, and for those who are unable to care for themselves.

Republicans believe that government should be limited to doing for people those things they cannot do for themselves.  The right to determine individual destiny should lie in the hands of the individuals, and we believe in the competitive free enterprise system.

Republicans believe that peace and freedom can be protected only if America maintains a defense strong enough to deter any aggressor.  We strive to cut government spending and to eliminate costly, overlapping and unnecessary government programs.

Each year FRWF holds a fundraiser to support college-bound students from Fallbrook High School. Typically 3 recipients are given monetary awards for their winning essays. The first place essay is forwarded to the County-level competition, and many years the Fallbrook winner has won that and gone on to place in the State-level scholarship program.

FRWF budgets funds to send one or two high school students, along with a chaperone, to the Sacramento Advocacy Workshop, which is an annual event sponsored by the California Republican Women Federated. This is a great experience for our local students  to meet our State representatives and see California government in action.

Student of the Month Program

We support many aspects of education, and therefore FRWF provides funds for and participates with the breakfast recognizing 4 Fallbrook High School students each month.

Each year the town of Fallbrook has events that honor 9/11.  FRWF members participate in the 9/11 walk down Main Street in Fallbrook, along with organizations such as the VFW, North County Fire Protection Distict, the Fallbrook Chorale and others.

Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce

FRWF has been a long-standing member and supporter of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce.

Voter Registration

Republican women believe that everyone should exercise the right to vote, no matter what the party affiliation. FRWF supports this by working at booths to make voter registration accessible at the Fallbrook Avocado Festival, the Del Mar Fair, community events and local shopping centers.

Republican Headquarters

Prior to major elections, the FRWF procures an Election Headquarters location and volunteers are the staff. With the help of the County Republican Party and various candidates, the FRWF provides posters, flyers, road signs, etc.  In addition, the members may make calls to voters in the area precincts to “get out the vote!”

Military Appreciation and Toy Drive

FRWF strives to support our local military in a variety of ways. We often host “Military Appreciation” events, typically held around Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day. We also collect items at our monthly general meetings, such as stuffed animals for the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton, or supplies for Military Women and spouses.
